SINCE OUR FOUNDING IN 1910, the Gahn Meat Company has always strived to bring the finest products to the most discerning customers. Started as a specialty meat market on Milwaukee’s east side the Gahn Meat Company gained a reputation throughout the city for quality products and good value.
AFTER WWII, THE SECOND GENERATION of Gahns expanded the company and began wholesale distribution. The same quality products and customer satisfaction that retail customers enjoyed was now available to Milwaukee restaurants and won acceptance quickly. Serving this wholesale sector provided steady growth over the years.
IN THE EARLY 1980S the company moved into a new processing facility on Milwaukee’s north side. This 12,000 square foot facility provided new opportunities for the company in portion cut steaks, ground beef patties and cooked products.
NOW UNDER THE LEADERSHIP of the third generation, the Gahn Meat Company operates multiple U.S.D.A. processing facilities in Wisconsin, producing more than three million pounds of finished product annually. We currently serve restaurants and food service distributors throughout the Midwest and have an extensive customer list that reaches as far away as the U.S. Virgin Islands.
